Two weeks ago we had the wonderful pleasure of attending the Come Together Event hosted by Katelyn James and Amy & Jordan Demos, and my what an experience it was! First off, if you are in the wedding industry or really any kind of entrepreneur and have a creative bone in your body you need to hear Kaitlyn + Amy + Jordan speak {Bonus: Kaitlyn is local to Virginia and offers coaching sessions so do yourself a favor and sign up today}. They were on fire and that fire was contagious.

Amy + Jordan are a husband and wife photography team out of Arizona and they are the sweetest couple. They spoke on social media and making it work for you with the audience that you have, which really translated into giving your clients an unforgettable experience. I left just wanting to love on each one of our brides and be sure that they know just how much being involved in their wedding day means to us.

Most people in the area have heard of the fantastic Kaitlyn James, and I’m pretty sure every one has stumbled across her blog at least once. The girl is known for her amazing blog and blogging was the center of her segment. Now we are definitely not the best at consistent blogging, but hopefully we can take what we learned and make some changes around here.

The night was just absolutely amazing. The education that was shared, the networking with wonderful vendors in the area, and an absolutely gorgeous venue that we were introduced to all added up to one fantastic event!

The Sunshine Experience Launch

There is a new workshop coming to Hampton Roads this Fall, and we are just beyond ecstatic to be a part of it!

August 16, 2015 Macon Photography will be teaching their first photography based workshop, and we will be handling ALL of the styling and I (Brandi) will be speaking on a few topics related to the wedding industry. Tickets are on sale now & you can find more information + register HERE

 Now I don’t know if I’ve shared this before, but event design + coordination is truly my dream job. It’s the job that I always thought was unobtainable. But my dream my came true. I get to love the work I do every day, and not only do I love the work I do, but I love the people that I get to do work with. {I will save my incredibly long winded homage to Julie for another day, just know that I couldn’t ask for a more amazing mentor/partner.} And having the opportunity to work with two of my closest friends as they take on a new venture is truly incredible. Bri + Brian are kind, funny, and incredibly talented. They are a true husband and wife team, equal partners that both bring amazing talent to the table, and now they are braving a workshop and sharing that knowledge with you. There is not a doubt in my mind that they are going to blow this thing out of the water, how blessed am I to get to go on this journey with them. I am so honored to get to watch them share their joy and light and passion.  I hope you’ll join us for The Sunshine Experience, we would love to have you there!

Calligraphy and Cocktails Round 1

A few weeks ago we hosted the first round of our Calligraphy and Cocktails Workshop taught by the fabulous lady behind Sincerely Amy Designs. 

It was an absolutely gorgeous day that set the perfect backdrop to learn some gorgeous writing techniques, and being so close to Cinco de Mayo we had ourselves a little fiesta. There were margaritas, tacos, lots of laughs, and of course some beautiful calligraphy.

We had so much fun that we’re doing it again! Calligraphy and Cocktails Round 2 will be August 16th! Check back Monday morning for more details and registration information.

Happy Monday! Today is a very, very happy Monday indeed as we are SO excited to announce that we are hosting our very first workshop!

Calligraphy & Cocktails
May 3rd
1 – 4pm
Taught by Sincerely Amy Designs

Calligraphy has just morphed into this big, beautiful entity in the wedding and design world and we are so thrilled to host the talented Amy behind Sincerely Amy Designs. Amy creates stunning calligraphy out of Richmond and will be coming down to Hampton Roads to teach the workshop attendees.

The workshop will include:
Three Hours of Hands on Instruction
All Materials
Q & A with Amy
Cocktails & Light Snacks
Fun Afternoon Out!
