Last year when Laurie and Jeff came to us with the intent to have their reception at the Chrysler Museum we were super excited! When they decided that they would have their ceremony at the Hermitage Museum and Gardens our excitement went through the roof! They couldn’t have picked a better, more beautiful lineup of venues for their big day and we were thrilled to be a part of it!! Thankfully we had the incredibly talented Echard Wheeler to photograph it all.
The ceremony was held in the East Garden. If you haven’t been to a wedding at the Hermitage you simply must go visit. It is such a beautiful property!
We are quite fond of any bridal party that incorporates gray into their attire and this group did not disappoint!
Following the ceremony everyone headed on over to the cocktail hour and reception at the Chrysler Museum of Art. Such an elegant venue in Hampton Roads!!
Jeff and Laurie wanted to incorporate their love for the great outdoors and hiking into their event so they hung the guests’ escort cards from carabiners, gave each of their guests a canteen to keep their favorite beverage cold, and incorporated a mountain landscape onto their cake and invitations. We LOVE when our clients are adamant about making their event a reflection of who they are as a couple and Jeff and Laurie did just that. He even went as far as surprising her by serenading her with a song while he played the guitar!
