We may be in the midst of summer but we wanted to cool things down a bit and share our last wedding of 2013 with you! We had the opportunity to work with this adorable couple, Matt and Elizabeth, who found us while living out of the country. They were planning a December wedding in Alexandria, Virginia, and we couldn’t have been more excited to be a part of it!
They held their wedding ceremony at the Athenaeum in Alexandria, a historic museum of fine arts.
The private courtyard was the perfect location for the couple’s first look.
The Athenaeum’s main gallery provided an intimate setting for their 60 guests.
Following the ceremony Elizabeth changed from this delicate blush pink bow to the chic black bow pictured above.
We absolutely loved the black, white, and blush color palette and how Elizabeth incorporated it into her dress!
The reception was held at the Columbia Firehouse, a historic brasserie and bar in downtown Alexandria. The Potomac Jazz Band provided the live music while guests dined and mingled.
Guests left their well wishes in a vintage cigar box.
Special thanks to Becca of BB Shots Photography for capturing these images and sharing them with us.
Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness Matt and Elizabeth!! -From all of us at As You Wish
