We had the opportunity to be a part of Jennifer and Terry’s glamourous wedding at the historic Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach, and can’t wait to share all of the beautiful details!
The bride carried a natural, ivory hand-tied bouquet of soft pink peonies, polo roses, traditional roses and spray roses ranging in color from soft pink to caramel to peach. Her attendants carried a complimenting hand-tied bouquet of white polo roses, blush spray roses, and white stock.
Jennifer spent some time as a Broadway Tapper and a Radio City Rockette, and incorporated this passion into the details of their wedding. Guests’ escort cards were created in the form of a dance card, which was historically used by a woman to record the names of the gentlemen with whom she intended to dance each successive dance at a formal ball. For the wedding, each dance card listed names of popular dances, which were actually the table names inside the reception. The guest’s name was written on the line of the dance (table) to which they were assigned. We LOVED this creative escort card!!
The cocktail hour was held on the side lawn of the hotel and the weather and scenery couldn’t have been any more perfect! Guests sipped champagne while soaking in the beautiful view of the Virginia Beach oceanfront!
The reception was held inside the Pocahontas Room of the Cavalier Hotel, and the vintage decor complimented the look of the room perfectly! Palette of Petals created gorgeous centerpieces for Jennifer and Terry! Gorgeous trumpet style vases held arrangements of white ostrich feathers, with alternating trumpet vases showcasing a stunning floral arrangement of white hydrangea, white carnations, white riceflower, stock, waxflower, roses and spray roses ranging in color of white, pink, carmel, and peach.
Sugar Plum Bakery provided the beautiful wedding cake, and the Cavalier Hotel served an assortment of scrumptious cheesecakes.
