Nearly a year ago we had the privilege of being a part of Ashley and Brian’s beautiful wedding day at the Hermitage Museum and Gardens in Norfolk, Virginia.  My first impression of these two was how young and in love they were and it was obvious in the way they looked at each other, the way they talked to one another, and the way that they always valued the other’s opinion when it came time to make a decision.

They had planned for their special day to take place at one of our favorite wedding venues in Hampton Roads, The Hermitage Museum and Gardens.  The venue has so much character, history, and pristine landscaping that it is really the perfect backdrop for anything, but a wedding especially.  Brian and Ashley’s wedding was no exception.  The weather was absolutely perfect and the details were beautiful.  I’ll get to those later though.  First I want to focus on their ceremony.

They had dated for a number of years prior to their marriage, so it was only fitting that their youth pastor marry them.  Their sweet vows to one another were so touching that they brought me to tears, and I’m sure I wasn’t the only one.  Their nuptials took place in the Hermitage’s East Garden; a rounded nook surrounded by trees and greenery.  Very calm and serene, and fitting for this couple.

 

 

Ashley is a graphic designer with an amazing eye for detail and design and she did a wonderful job of creating her wedding invitations, programs, and other paper goods for her wedding.  We can’t wait to work with her on future projects!
